ALPSP 2023 - we're ready and raring to go!

A night time view over Salford Quays in Manchester

This week sees the return of the annual ALPSP conference - a time that brings the scholarly community together. This year is the first time that this is being done both in-person and virtually.

The programme is packed with great speakers and fun social events. Some of the key issues to be discussed include open science, books, small societies, equitable OA models, researcher behaviour, diversity in commissioning, an Industry Leaders 'Question Time', and more.

Here are our top 5 sessions and events from the conference programme that we are super excited for at ALPSP 2023:

1: Future trends in responsible research evaluation

13 September 2023 13:30-14:45 BST

Explore current progress towards the reform of research assessment, how this might drive changes in researcher behaviour, as well as the possible impacts on the wider research ecosystem, including scholarly publishers.

2: Building an inclusive workplace culture

13 September 2023 15:15-16:15 BST

An intersectional and open conversation on how we can build inclusive cultures within the workplace; with insights from community leaders – including action plans and lessons learned. Attendees will take away practical ideas and examples.
