We have an awesome opportunity for an experienced Copywriter to join our busy fast-paced consultancy. We're looking for someone rather special to join our core team as a permanent full-time member. This is a remote working role so you can be based anywhere in the UK.

Our clients are global and from all over the scholarly communications ecosystem from large academic publishers to service providers to small societies. With such an array of amazing clients, there is never a dull moment at The International Bunch!


What do we need from you? You need to be able to hit the ground running, be quick to learn and adopt online tools and be involved in lots of different types of projects including crafting excellent client and in-house content and copywriting, and raising the bar with social media. You'll also have your own projects to own and develop so you can get your creative juices flowing and help us make an impact.


We also hope you'll be a regular contributor to our often random 'Teams Social' channel and join our regular cocktail session.


Responsibilities for the Copywriter role

  • Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online and for client and in-house work

  • Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess project needs and help with messaging

  • Drive brand consistency across all company communications

  • Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere

  • See projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to deployment

Qualifications for the Copywriter role

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Journalism, Marketing or Communications preferred

  • Scholarly communications and library experience preferable but not essential

  • At least 3 years experience in content marketing or copywriting, preferably with an agency

  • Computer literate

  • Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually

  • Ability to match differing client tone of voices as and when required

  • Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar

  • Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent portfolio of work


The salary range is £28,000-£30,000 a year dependent on experience for a full time (37.5 hours a week) role.


This is a UK based role, all our team are remote workers, so you'll be provided with all the support you need.
